When I left Facebook in 2012-2013 I did so knowing I was no longer in full control of how I received information from my friends and acquaintances. Fast-forward to the year 2021 and I’ve now been on Telegram for over 4 years. With Telegram there are no information gatekeepers algorithmically deciding what I can and cannot see, or what may or may not be considered factually correct. As an individual who spent their entire youth choosing for themselves what to believe I wasn’t about to give that up because of some college drop-out who attained “network effect”.
One of my favorite aspects of Telegram is the ability to create back-ups of videos I consider to be noteworthy. When dealing with YouTube videos which are even mildly contentious linkrot is the norm. On Telegram I can pull up a video again in a week, month or year without fail so long as it’s archived properly.
2 videos I’ve seen disappear from YouTube recently:
- 1996 Kary Mullis Interview Gary Null (116 minutes)
- Reiner Füllmich Coronavirus Investigative Committee findings (49 minutes)
Neither of these videos were removed for copyright violation as far as I can tell. Neither depicted violence of any kind. Both of them were just men talking. But what they shared in common was that both videos were being shared in truther circles related to SARS-CoV-2. Thankfully I made copies of each.
The most effective way to destroy people is to deny and obliterate their own understanding of their history.
George Orwell
As more and more individuals bail from Big Tech platforms due to what is being perceived as censorship I can’t help but crack a smile as new platforms for sharing video emerge. Platforms such as:
If it weren’t for Big Tech censoring their own users these new platforms wouldn’t’ve stood a chance against the likes of YouTube. But in the age of Big Tech censorship all five of these tubes are starting to become familiar. And I view that as a win both from a privacy perspective but also due to the increased chances these platforms will build themselves around content freedom and help prevent linkrot in video content for years or decades to come.
One of the videos I watched yesterday from what liberal democrats like to call “right-wing conspiracy theorists” was a video from Alex Jones on BANNED which, by their count, received over a million views in three days:
Emergency Saturday Broadcast! World Shocked By SPARS 2025-2028 DocumentI’ve never actually watched The Alex Jones Show before but this one was interesting because it called to our attention some uncanny parallels between a 2017 pandemic preparedness exercise put out by Johns Hopkins and what’s currently happening today with SARS-CoV-2. Whether or not you consider the SPARS document parallels conspiracy or truth is not what’s important. What’s important is that it’s not on YouTube and it’s not being censored.
As the world prepares for the second global demonstration for freedom on May 15th, 2021, the SPARS 2025-2028 document could provide valuable insight into how or what may be coming in the weeks and months ahead. And that’s valuable for the truthers and patriots. Because unless you’re living in places like Florida or Texas right now, truthers and libertarians the world over need a way to plan ahead. And the SPARS Pandemic 2025-2028 PDF (enclosed) will undoubtedly become useful in predicting what’s to come.
I will leave you with a quote from Telegram found Pavel Durov to think about:
In a natural environment, every small community is able to produce an outstanding leader and an independent thinker. In today's world of trillion-dollar monopolies and bloated governments, the potential of hundreds of millions of people is suppressed by the limitations imposed by our artificial societal structures.
Pavel Durov
Consider what Pavel said then ask yourself, do you need a fact checker on Facebook or Twitter to tell you what the truth is, or do you have enough of a brain to figure it out yourself? Or will it take the Big Tech deplatforming the entire disinfo dozen to help you realize your children won’t be allowed to have the same kind of childhood I had? Your call. See you on Telegram.
